Ca' Sant'Andrea

Ca’ Sant’Andrea, developed in collaboration with Cazzaro Costruzioni, is a renovation project that restores value and continuity to a historic building overlooking the city. The design is rooted in respect for the original layout and in the desire to preserve its architectural character, defined by arched openings, stone frames, and decorated surfaces that tell a layered story shaped over time.

The restoration enhances the warm tones of the façade and its ornamental details, bringing back the proportional balance of the openings and the harmonious relationship between solid and void. The intervention integrates discreetly into the urban fabric, strengthening the identity of the street frontage and contributing to the overall quality of the public space.

The project is based on a subtle balance between preservation and contemporaneity. New solutions are integrated into the existing architecture without altering its reading, while introducing modern standards of comfort, energy efficiency, and spatial quality.

The arched openings, distinctive elements of the façade, become the meeting point between tradition and innovation: the clean lines of the new insertions interact with the historic materiality, creating a coherent and measured dialogue.

A key aspect of the intervention was the selection of window systems capable of respecting the original architectural language while ensuring high technical performance. The minimal profiles, carefully designed to fit precisely within the existing stone frames, preserve the visual lightness of the arched openings and enhance the depth of the masonry.

The result is a renewed building envelope where technology and heritage coexist harmoniously, giving Ca’ Sant’Andrea an identity that is both authentic and contemporary.
