Casa MM

Introduction
For STARCHBP, Casa MM was a project to be tackled with the utmost commitment: the project area, with archaeological and landscape constraints, is located close to Montelletto, the relief that develops between the Municipalities of Montebelluna and Caerano di San Marco, as an offshoot of Montello.
The challenge was to summarize the needs of respect for the places, with those expressed by the client, who wanted a home marked by contemporaneity and the enhancement of the landscape peculiarities of a symbolic context, readable above all in the view that extends towards the hill, crowned by the dark green of the woods.
The project
From this first reading came the proposal of an L-shaped construction, which embraces the garden to the north with two long walls marked by rhythmic openings, rising to the south from the street level, to recreate a private place inside but at the same time open to the fleeting perspective of the hills.
The volume is divided into a large full-height living area whose walls are mainly glass, with windows from the Isos and Xtravision collections, and illuminated by a large prismatic skylight (Duoxima collection) emerging on the flat roof, which stands out in the distance, and then continues with a pergola and leads to the outdoor pool, in the most intimate part of the garden.
The use of wood
The use of wood in the screening elements, designed by Impronta, sometimes opaque and sometimes shading, creates effects of light and shadow, of chiaroscuro, chromatics and backgrounds that underline the carefully designed perspective composition. Above all, as an element of protection, also symbolic, there is a covering that is perceived in its lightness and horizontality and that allows us to glimpse, in the part finished with the “green roof” system, trees with a clear profile that stand out against the sky.
