Casa DR

Three children, a dog, and a business to run. From the complexity of a busy daily life, Casa DR was born: a home that is not just a refuge, but a functional and aesthetic response to a dynamic lifestyle.

A project by Officina Fortuna, capable of translating practical needs into a simple, fluid, and contemporary architectural language.

Spread across two levels, Casa DR is divided into fluid and interconnected spaces, where each space opens naturally to the next.

The fulcrum is the double-height entrance hall, defined by the suspended staircase: both a focal point and a defining element.

To the south, a large open space accommodates the living room, kitchen, and dining area, completely open to the garden thanks to sliding glass doors that blur the boundaries between inside and outside.

To the north are the spaces dedicated to wellness and personal time: a gym, sauna, laundry room, and a glazed garage overlooking the pool.

The upper floor continues this logic: the children's bedrooms to the south, the master suite to the north, with a panoramic terrace overlooking the Euganean Hills.

Home automation, intelligent climate control, and select materials define a home designed to be contemporary, efficient, and sustainable.

To amplify the connection with the landscape and enhance the architectural fluidity, windows and doors from the Aluxima and Xtravision collections were chosen.

Thin aluminum profiles and large glass surfaces create openings that dissolve the boundaries between inside and outside, transforming transparency into architectural substance.

Light flows freely through the spaces, enhancing the proportions, materials, and visual continuity between inside and outside. The dark windows and doors become discreet frames for the landscape, never barriers, contributing to an architecture that breathes, evolves, and welcomes.
